I drove by so many times but never had the time to go inside. I decided to make time to come in and try it today. On Yelp for this restaurant, I see a lot of bad reviews. My first experience was a good one.

When I walked in, I was the only customer. I'm thinking "uh-oh, not a good sign." I mean it's a Tuesday night, business is slow for many restaurants but it can also be busy for some restaurants. I ordered the bibimbap (rice with vegetables and meat) combo (with beef tofu soup). Mind you, I read reviews where people say the menu prices are ridiculous but this place have fair prices in my opinion. When the food came out, the side dishes were a small amount but I'm guessing they had a lot of past customers who didn't eat them and so wasted them. Side dishes are staple or Korean cuisine, not the bbq or ayce. They define a restaurant's ability to give the customer a peek inside the Korean culture. The bibimbap was good but the portion of the vegetables and meat was less. The amount of rice was proportional more. The beef tofu soup was great.

    Out of 20 stars

    Bibimbap: ****
    Beef tofu soup: *****
    Service: *****
    Decor: ****

18 out of 20 stars. 90%. I'm definitely coming back. I want to try other things on the menu. The waiter was nice, courteous, and attentive. Like a great waiter would.

On the side note to whoever wrote reviews for takeout... FYI: any restaurant takeout you get, the experience won't be the same as inside the restaurant. Don't expect the same amount of experience because lukewarm/cold food and partial heated food does not compare to the experience eating at the restaurant.

Though the food never disappoints, there was ONE thing that occurred that ultimately made my decision to give just three stars. A Korean family came into the restaurant 15 minutes after we sat and already ordered and they got their food first before us. They had the same amount of people in their group as ours as well and the food they were served were exactly what we ordered. Thought that was a little rude on the customer service.

Update: changed to TWO stars due to the poor response. Sorry, but the waitress took this family's order when they sat down 15 min after us. There's no way that's a "to go order changed to now a sit down order". Regulars or not. Serve your customers in the order they come in and take personal responsibility when you don't and get critiqued. That is all.

I have been a loyal customer here since they 1st opened. We always dine in, but today we ordered to go. What a disaster. We called our order in and they said to pick up in 10 minutes. When my husband arrived The order was incorrect, then they said they sent the order accidentally with the grub hub driver.  So they told my husband 5 minutes....
He waited like 20 minutes. (Which was fine if they had to re-prepare it) they never offered anything free or discount for the mistake or inconvenience.
When we opened the food up at home the sides we super skimpy. I was shocked.
But the worst part is that the soon tofu tasted like water with seafood and tofu tossed in. I have no idea what happened in that kitchen, but unfortunately I can't go back. So sad.

Updating the review because it's changed ownership. I recently visited not knowing there was a change in ownership. I stayed and tried the food anyway. I'd have to say that the food definitely does not taste the same. I miss the old owners/chefs.

The fried rice (added spam for $2 extra) had a weird taste to it. It almost takes like it had popcorn butter in it for their oil base. The dish was so oily that we only took a bite and left it as is. The fried egg on top didn't even have a yolk in between, which is a first for me at restaurants. I do not recommend this and would give it a 1 star.

There was only one waitress serving 6 other tables. Every time she passes by the table, someone would ask her to do something. Water and drinks wasn't refilled unless you ask her, extra napkins aren't offered unless you ask, she never asked how the food tasted or checked up on us to see if we needed anything. Waitress was nice though, but not attentive enough and it's obviously she needed more help. Even when she gave me my check, she didn't calculate the price or even put down anything on it besides what we ordered. Had to wait another 10 mins for her to come back and tell us the total.

The new menu have more options and they raised their prices.

I'm still shocked for $20.99 combo or even if you ordered without the combo for $19.99; you only get FOUR PIECES of the galbi short ribs! It is NOT WORTH IT. 4!! Like really? The bulgogi was worth it and was cheaper for a few bucks. You get more meat too. The flavors of the meat were delicious; perfectly marinated and moist that's why I'm giving this place more than 1 star.
